It's hot and sweet, and full of CHOCOLATE. What's not to like? Coffee is like its bitter older sister.Nataliehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00861022355718378425noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1845244417955383898.post-4240603430347760452010-02-03T22:17:40.355-05:002010-02-03T22:17:40.355-05:00I love coffee. I'm trying to do more tea because it's better for me, but jeez, it's hard. It's my comfort drink. Don't get addicted if you can avoid it. ;)kahhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10789825860272178765noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1845244417955383898.post-47833120487355779262010-02-03T15:37:18.713-05:002010-02-03T15:37:18.713-05:00Oh coffee, how I love thee . . . . I manage to only drink 2 - 4 cups a day instead of the whole pot like I did a few years back. Seriously, that first cup is sooooo heavenly. No way would I give it up again. Caffeine is a drug, a legal one of course, but my students are amused that their teacher is addicted to drugs -- just caffeine, I promise!Andrea McKayhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17093335086443535447noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1845244417955383898.post-42392385345285002232010-02-03T14:49:27.622-05:002010-02-03T14:49:27.622-05:00I'm not a fan of coffee by itself, but add a f...I'm not a fan of coffee by itself, but add a flavored creamer, like peppermint truffle mocha, or raspberry whith chocolate, and I'm an addict. You still get that wonderful coffee smell in the morning (which I heard somewhere, is good for asthsmatics ), but you get the caffeine you crave to get you going, something to warm you up (or cool you down in the summer if you ice it), and those delicious flavors. Although, I'm sure the "coffee purists" won't agree.Jammihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07436602622594893491noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1845244417955383898.post-3016254611031316742010-02-03T12:48:22.459-05:002010-02-03T12:48:22.459-05:00Well I "Was" like you... hated coffee, t...Well I "Was" like you... hated coffee, the taste, even the smell made sick... I drank tea, a civilized drink. All through college, and two kids.
It was not until having my third child... that one morning after a deadly up all night with the wee one and two little ones kicking me in my "sleep" did my hubby's morning brew call to me. I was so tired and so I drank the java goodness. I have never looked back. I sit every morning drinking two delish cup's before I venture off to the daily chaos of my house. It is my calm before the storm so to speak. It makes me wake up and able to be "alert" with the kids. I can't have more than 3 cups a day, it makes me shake and just too jittery.
So come to the java dark side...
Now- disclaimer- we drink really expensive stuff so maybe if you tried some really good stuff maybe a vanilla latte, brevie latte's are great too...Ok I better go drink my second cup ;)lexylouhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15483576424439074457noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1845244417955383898.post-16401417672806306852010-02-03T11:42:24.631-05:002010-02-03T11:42:24.631-05:005 cups of coffee per day helps keep Alzheimer'...5 cups of coffee per day helps keep Alzheimer's away! Well, at least that's the latest news about coffee.

As for me, I like my coffee, though normally only one cup per day during the week. Also, once per week I get Starbucks. Yum. Okay, sometimes twice a week.

To me, coffee is sort of a comfort food. I just like knowing there's a cup next to the computer, on the weekends, when I'm writing. And, in the spring, summer, fall, I like to have my first cup of the day outside, listening/watching the birds, and just relaxing.

SScotthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06905515473737579937noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1845244417955383898.post-34375262689997891132010-02-03T11:34:46.942-05:002010-02-03T11:34:46.942-05:00I wouldn't suck back the stuff all day, but th...I wouldn't suck back the stuff all day, but that first sip in the morning... ahhh. I gave up pop (it feels so good to talk to a fellow Michigander and be able to use pop) a few weeks ago and now coffee's in the gallows. The hassle. One more appliance to use/clean.
2.) The taste. Not a huge fan. I like my mochas heavy on the chocolate.
3.) The dependence. My friends who are heavy coffee drinkers cannot function in the morning until they have their coffee. I have a hard enough time pulling it together as it is. Add in a caffeine addiction, and it wouldn't be pretty.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13380826220166366026noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1845244417955383898.post-64032346332067016162010-02-03T10:19:24.456-05:002010-02-03T10:19:24.456-05:00Ah, coffee...ambrosia for morning pains. I don't even think it is the caffeine, since I'm just as happy with decaf. I just enjoy the comfort and familiarity of it - the taste, the hot liquid to wake me up and warm me. It soothes me and my grumpy morning moods (and afternoon moods and early evening moods...) :-)Shannon O'Donnellhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17299313309059235876noreply@blogger.com
