So I'm having a day. You know one of those days where you just aren't feeling the confidence a risin'? One of those days where you just want to piss and moan about how not awesomesauce you are, but at the same time you want to keep your mouth shut because you don't want to be a Negative Nancy...I mean seriously...no one likes being called a Nancy!
Ever have one of those days?
That's me today. Totally lost in my own world of pity. And that is SO NOT COOL!
So I am forcing myself out of the dark place and back into my happy place. I've turned my facebook onto the English/Pirate mode. It's a start.
UPDATE*** English/Pirate was TOTALLY worth it when this showed up on my wall...
"Robert be plunderin' Bible Training Institute Graduation fer wenches and booty."
I'm also considering a super long shower or bath to calm my nerves. And if it ever stops raining (ggggrrrrrrr) I intend to take a nice run. (I Heart Running!)
I refuse to complain.
I refuse to not feel confident.
I refuse to think I can't do this whole writing thing. Cuz I know I totally can.
I think I need to go cue some music. Any recommendations?
What do you do to remind yourself you are big fat bowls of awesomesauce?

My awesomesauce playlist:
The Climb (Miley Cyrus...all comments from the peanut gallery can cease immediately!)
Don't Stop Believin' (as performed by the Glee Cast)
Gives You Hell (as performed by the Glee Cast)
Hate on Me (as performed by the Glee Cast)
Just Dance (Lady Gaga)
Smile (Lily Allen)
Rise (Eddie Vedder)
Hot n' Cold (Katy Perry)
Amongst others.... Also all currently on my running playlist. Which I haven't been able to do since Friday because I am sick. Which is currently making me feel like the farthest thing away from awesomesauce there is. :(
Great attitude, Marybeth! I'm a sucker for Christian music - it ALWAYS makes me feel like awesomesauce. :-)
Aw, {{Hugs}} I know those days. Bubblebaths are a huge help. Maybe a little retail therapy--even if it's just something cheap like a new paperback. And scratching a kitty tummy until the room is filled with purring helps a lot too. If I can make a sleeping cat purr I can't be totally lamesauce. ;)
I'm with Shannon Whitney Messenger on the whole cat ordeal... animals seem to make all the bad stuff go away so easily...if you ever need to borrow my canary (named Rocky) or my other budgie bird Koivu they certainly will cheer you up lol. They both love to sing and dance to the black eyed peas. Very entertaining in deed lol.
oh I also highly recommend locking yourself in a room, cranking up some dance music (lately i've been cranking up Rock Your Body by the Black Eyed Peas) and just dance your heart away no matter how ridiculous you might think it is..... okay i want to dance now!
I agree about the therapeutic effects of animals. Whenever I'm feeling down I find that shooting a squirrel will usually dispel those negative thoughts and perk me right up.
Whenever I'm down and need a quick laugh I watch the Miss Piggy 'Peaches' video on YouTube, if you have not seen it then I suggest you check it out immediately. A small warning, there are explicit lyrics involved, hahaha.
If the video doesn't work then I usually watch some girl power movie like Whip It or something of the like to remind me that I'm awesome too.
Oh, and isn't Pirate language the best?!!!
I do believe that you may be considered supersauce if a new person read you blog and it made them smile and they decided to follow you since they think you really are awesomesauce.
I do believe that you are still considered awesomesauce when a new reader reads you blog and follows you because she thinks your super-awesomesauce. :))
Generally I feel a bit of awesomesauce comes from moments when my kids tell me it's true. Kids don't lie. Okay, they do sometimes. However, not when they acknowledge your full of awesomesauce! Friends can do that too. :) I've never known you not to be full of awesomesauce!
