Evil in Unexpected Places

I read one of the best Blog Posts yesterday. Rachelle Gardner wrote about Finding Truth in Unlikely Places (AKA: Desperate Housewives) It was beautiful the way she crafted something so wholesome out of a show people tend to find so trashy. Being a big fan of the show, I agreed with every word. (And contemplated sending the post to my mother to prove that I don't just watch smut!)

Today I do the exact opposite. I am going to point out Evil in Unexpected Places. My post roots from an insanely entertaining post on Mindless Musings by Elana Johnson entitled 4 out of 5 Bejeweled Blitz Games Agree. She decided the game was like a magic 8 ball. If she scored over 50K it was a yes, anything under was a no. I read through the comments and noticed everyone had happy things to say about this game. I'd even seen posts about the game on facebook.

Innocent enough. Just a small bit of fun to pass some time.

WRONG

Evil

Pure Evil

Bejeweled Blitz is much worse than Collapse, Text Twist, and even Diner Dash (*gasp!* a game worse than Diner Dash! Yes...even the beloved Flo on the Go - which incidentally is not as "monthly" as it seems)

The game is wicked fast and damn near impossible to see...Wait...no...that's a Snitch...

Well it is wicked fast. You get one minute. ONE MINUTE to play and try to earn over 100K so you can rank in at LEAST 3rd place.

Have I mentioned how competitive I am? No...good...

So anyway. This is my first post about Evil in Unexpected Places. The next one will possibly be about how No Bake Cheese Cake makes dieting impossible or the addiction called "Twilight" or possibly even facebook itself. But for now, I'll just leave you with a little bit Evil. I don't want to corrupt you all in one sitting!

Fun game, but like you say, wicked fast. I shall have to be content to cheer from the wings, because from my scores, that's where I'd be. >.<

Ha! This is such a good post! I have to agree. I play Mind Games on Facebook (daily sudoku and their version of bejeweled called betokened). Evil indeed. A while ago I got hooked on Zuma. What a time and soul thieving game! Totally addictive.

I'm glad I've never played. Now I know better. :)

Okay, I'm not even going to try it. I used to play Bejeweled, so I know I'd become instantly addicted!

This post was the smile and laugh I needed for a Thursday. Just became one of your many followers yesterday and hope you stop by sometime.

Oh yes, I've played Bejeweled and was totally addicted for awhile. Now Farkle is my game of choice and I am really mad at it now. It is such a time stealer!

I don't get around to playing many online games, but I know Bejeweled is a lot like the old school computer version of Tetris and I LOVED that game! Great post!

Look at all these new friends! I love new friends :)

And I love Tetris!

Yes Katie, avoid Bejeweled at all costs!!!

Thanks for stopping by. I will have to check out all your blogs tomorrow after I have a chance to get online for more than 5 minutes :)

Oh, I know. Evil, evil, evil! Before I know it the time that was going to be spent writing has been spent mucking about on various games. Though I have never played that one... perhaps I could just go take a look.... a little look...

Is it bad that I played bejeweled once and didn't get it? Maybe I need to try again..... *grin*

I ALSO am a renegade in that I really don't care for no-bake cheese cake... unless it's the kind I buy from a very good store which means someone ELSE baked it which means I didn't have to...

What is EVIL is the oeey gooey caramel pie from O'Charley's. Seriously, I have to say a deep prayer of forgiveness after eating.
