A Holiday Confession

First things first. I have to thank Jessica for getting Snoop Dogg in my head. (For an explaination click Here) And the worst part about it is I only know the words "Snoop Doggy Dooooooogg." Thanks dear. You're a peach!

Second, have you seen my newest challenge?. First I sign up for the editing challenge and now I've agreed to take part in the Official Kissing (aka Snogging) Day BlogFest. (The rules are in the link and I totally think you should all participate.) Nothing better than a day full of snogging to lift our souls! And come on, it's in honor of mistletoe. (Just like the Cho Chang and Harry kissing scene. I love how the mistletoe just appears. Where can I find the Room of Requirement and if I require Patrick Dempsey to be under the mistletoe will he appear?)

And now it's time to tell you something shocking about me. Brace yourself.

Are you sitting down?

Please set down your coffee. I don't want to be the cause of any spills.

Ready?

I have never seen mistletoe.

GASP!!!!

Don't say I didn't warn you!

Seriously. I've never seen it. Which means I've never kissed under it. Which means I am totally jealous of all of you that have!

Who wants to send me some mistletoe for Christmas?

Where do you even find mistletoe?

But I totally loves me a kissing scene under mistletoe. Especially when the two kissers aren't prepared to kiss each other. Ok ok...I'm getting ahead of myself. Snogging Blogfest isn't till the 21st! I'll do my best to hold back.

Oh and speaking of the holidays, did you know people purposely bake fruitcakes!!! Jody you totally put me to shame as a homemaker.

Enjoy your Monday kids!

And thanks again Jessica for making me repeat the D O Double G in my head over and over!

Yes, Patrick D. would most definitely appear under the mistletoe if you were in the Room of Requirement.

I'll be participating in kissy day too! You aren't missing much with the mistletoe thing. We had a guy selling it door to door when I was in college so we sampled mistletoe kissing--it was no better than regular kissing. (plus mistletoe is poisonous, so it's not the best thing to have around).

You missed the part of my blog post where I said: NO, Not really. ;-) I also do not make ice cream for my kids out of snow, or embroider. I really don't, I promise!

Can I share a shocking secret of my own? I've never, no never had a piece of fruit cake. Ever. And I'm not sure that I ever want to. But if anyone wants to send me one to sample, I'm game!

Ooooooh Patrick Dempsey!!!!!!!!!!!!! Dude, I'd kiss him under anything, who needs the mistletoe?

I've had fruitcake. It's gross, in an addicting sort of way. LOL And don't worry, while I think I've seen mistletoe (can't remember, lol) I know I've never kissed beneath it. Wah!
No problem about putting a song in your head. Any time. *snicker*

(You're right about Jody; I'm in awe of her homemaking)

My sister makes fruitcake. it's odd and I slightly disown her for it. As for misteltoe it is a little creepy looking. Not as pretty and lively looking as the fake stuff. Thank goodness I've never waited around for it to do all my kissing ;)

I don't think I've ever seen mistletoe in real life either. Hmmm...and I never even thought about it until now.

Look in the holiday section at Walmart. You can buy some for like a buck! :D

Ok just so I'm getting this right, I can' find Mistletoe at Wal-Mart, and I'm best off buying the fake kind. Though it's not really worth my time or the $1 because it's poisonous and the kissing is just the same as kissing without mistletoe. BUT if Patrick Dempsey shows up in the Room of Requirements under that mistletoe I may have to share him. And all this will happen while trying my first piece of fruitcake and listening to Snoop Doggy Dogg?

Am I getting this right?

Okay so you are the infamous MaryBeth that I have seen commenting on a couple other blogs (Frankie, Shannon (Messenger), Shannon (O'donnell)...etc.) I was ever so pleased to stumble upon your site. You are hilarious and I love the title of your blog!

Oh & I will say we have mistletoe here in Alabama. It hangs way up high in the trees. Typically I buy a kissing ball and hang it in my house rather than shoot down some mistletoe, but hey if you want some I can get you some ;o)

Okay onto the even more important words I read in your blog: Patrick Dempsey. YUM! If you find that Room of Requirement, please, please let us all know where we need to go!

I had to put you on my blogroll btw...your title is just too cute not to.

Yay for advertising the Snogging Day Blogfest! (JUst LOVE that word, snogging!) I can hardly wait to read all the kissing blogs!

As for mistletoe, it is everywhere here in Texas! You can see them high in the bare trees, huge balls of green amid the gray branches of the winter trees. Actually, they are parasites that fee off the trees and if left, will eventually suck the life right out of a tree. Sigh...I wonder how it got to be such a traditional thing to kiss under one? lol

Unknown said...

Yay for princesses following me!!! Want to share your tiara?

Well not if that means I have to share my Patrick...I dont't share him. He's mine.

Sherrinda who wouldn't want to kiss under some parasites! It's soooo romantic!

That's a great picture. I really like Dan Radcliffe. And you know what? I've never seen mistletoe either. Not real stuff. Maybe plastic. So you're not alone!

mmmm Patrick Dempsey....he is so McDream-a-licious!

Okay time to snap out of dreaming about him lol.... I've only seen plastic mistletoe myself.

The old plastic mistletoe that we had was chewed up by my brother when he was younger lol
