Feeling Victorious!

I only wish it was because I had gotten "The Call" from an agent as my awesome fellow Blogger Jody Hedlund did yesterday. (Congrats Jody!!!) BUT I still made it over a large hurdle. I have perfected my query letter...and I LOVE IT! That in itself is immensely victorious!

So here is how I am feeling right now....

My head is spinning and moving at light speed. All I can think about is which agents to query and how to find them and how many agents I should send it to and and and and... I am feeling super light headed (possibly because I am hungry though...tough call there) and I am beyond euphoric.

Have I gone crazy? How did you feel when you pushed out the query letter that made you jump with excitement?

***Are you scared of how I'll react when I do get "The Call"? Because I am!!!***

**UPDATE! Got first FULL Manuscript request!***

The only thing I'm scared about on your reaction to "The Call" is when you ditch me unless I buy you more gnomes :) hehe. Congrats on the query letter...Nice job! Good Luck! Best Wishes and all that! :)

Marybeth! You are too sweet! I still can't believe it's true. I keep waiting for her to email me and say oops, wrong person!

The query is absolutely one of the hardest things to write! So congrats on getting one you like! When I sent mine, it was fun but nerve-wracking too! I hope you get some bites soon!

Is that your daughter? So cute!

I have written a query, but haven't sent it out because the manuscript wasn't ready. I'm in the process of reworking it now. Then, I'll redo the query.

That's great that you love your query. The love's got to start from you.

I love finishing a query and feeling happy with it! And a full manuscript request - that's awesome!! Please keep us updated! Plus... I am officially stalking you about the facebook stuff. I will not rest until I've gotten my answer. I will email you three times every day until I get my answer.... okay, maybe I won't do that. :)

Make sure you edit ALL of the book now--like ur in a time crunch--at least once!! I sent mine out and almost went into a coma when they requested more---I wasn't really ready to send the manuscript. Going back thru it, you change a lot-so hop to it! Even if you've already edited, read it again-cuz you'll for sure feel the freak out need to make it perfect for the agent that requests and u don't know for sure that you'll be waiting long(tho most times u are)!
Congrats on the query! I thought I've never get mine how I wanted it- I was frustrated with trying to push my huge book into a few sentences for a long time!!
yaaayyy!!! :)
