Who Needs Sleep?

Me!!! (raising my arm high into the air and waiving it back and forth so you can't miss it!)

OMG is it just me or do you also want to just dive into this bed ------------>

If there is one think that I love more than my computer and gnomes, it is sleep. I look forward to the end of the day when I get to go snuggle up to one (or possibly 10) of my blankets, and it makes me sleepy just thinking about my cozy feather pillows with the cold pillow case up against my cheek. Ahhhhhhh....

Seriously, I know it sounds absurd, but I could undoubtedly spend all day in bed if I was given the option. I'm sure this may come as a surprise to most of you, but I happen to have a wildly vivid imagination. As if my plush pillows and soft enticing blankets weren't enough to lure me into a lust of slumber, my dreams sit silently during the awake hours, just waiting to have their stories told. I can't help but want to fall back asleep every time I wake up merely to get back to the movie that was just playing in my head. But these are way better than the movies. (Mainly because I get to be the girl kissing the hero that looks like (or is) Patrick Dempsey/McDreamy in the end!)

But alas, life takes up all of my day and half of my night, leaving little time to spend with my heavenly bed and entertaining dreams. Granted life IS suppose to be more interesting and all, I'd still rather spend a few extra hours swimming through my imagination. The lack of bills and responsibilities is hard to resist some days! However, I do not wish to miss these moments awake either. Possibly can someone find a way to add more hours to the day? That would be greeeaaaaat.

Are you in love with sleep? Or am I alone here?
(Oh come on, you know you didn't want to get out of bed this morning!!!)

The only thing wrong with that photo is that it's too light in the room. I need it DARK. And quiet. Any light or noise and my mind races until I have no choice but to get up and work on my to-do lists (usually adding things more than crossing them off). It's funny how much of an insomniac I am when I SO love sleep.

I hate having to go to bed, but if I had a bed like that, I think I would have a reversal of attitude. :D

I hate going to bed and ending the day (there's still so much to do!) and in the morning I hate getting out of bed because I'm usually so warm and cozy.

I love to go to bed - mine's not as comfy as the one pictured though. And the only reason I get up in the morning is because I think if I don't get up to see my kids off to school they'll be jealous that I can sleep but they can't!

I love sleep...I could spend all day in bed. And my dreams are SOOOOOO much more interesting than the rest of life! Sleep is so entertaining for me. It's like watching movies all evening, but getting to be part of them. My mind just keeps running... and even when I'm lying there awake, I'm daydreaming. Daydreaming and cuddling a soft, warm, feather comforter. It's divine!! The picture you have is exactly what my dream room would look like!! Which is surprising, considering how afraid I am of white. I spill on everything!!! LOL

I'm a night owl, so I'm happy to be out of bed until late at night, but LOVE to snuggle into the blankets in the morning while I attempt to ignore the 5 year old tapping me on the shoulder and asking for his breakfast.

Stephanie,
I'm with you on the dark part. And it looks to warm in there too. It has to be cold and I need a fan on! But those blankets...ahhhhh...they look heavenly!

Danyelle,
who wouldn't want to change their view on sleeping once they cozied up into that bed!

MeganRebekah,
I really need to get to the point where I don't want to go to bed at the end of the day. But I really do like to sleep...so that day may be a little distant in the future!

Paula,
I can see that...you are such a nice mom. Unfortunately I HAVE to see them off to the school bus, but I may consider using your excuse so I sound better! LOL

Jessica,
Ahhh Jessica...we are so on the same wave length here. You made me crave my cozy bed just thinking about it!

Susan,
Do not fear...that age where she can make her own breakfast is right around the corner ;)

I love my sleep, but with a two-month old infant, who co-sleeps with us, that is such a foreign concept right now, although I did sleep all the way through the night last night (my husband's turn to get up with her).

We had to buy a king size bed becuase I refuse to sleep with less than four pillows and four blankets. Drives my husband crazy! :)

Caroline,
I will pause in a moment of sorrow to mourn your lost sleep........
Don't fret...you'll get it back....eventually!

Jaime,
I think that is 4 pillows is more than reasonably!

I adore sleep. *Sigh* But alas, theh older I get, the less I can actually make my body sleep. I wake up way too much at night and often way too early! And as much as I'd like to fall back asleep I can't! Even naps evade me these days!

OT; My DD just received a Poppins barbie along with the two children isn't that the best? I immediately thought of you!

Yes, I love sleep....I love dreams too....but with four kids, one a newborn....sleep is something I have done without for a long, long time!

Jody,
I totally get what you are saying. It seems I do not sleep as well as I used to either. And why is it I can't sleep in past 7am even if I try!!! Sigh...I was hoping this was just a stage...

T.Anne,
YOU MUST send me pics of the Poppins Barbie!!

Ann,
I am so happy to be out of the newborn stage. Sometimes I miss it, but not the night time bit. I like to put my kids to bed and have them not wake up for at least 8 to 10 hours!!! I feel for ya :)

I do love sleep - I just don't have time for it. I told my husband the other day that I wish I was a vampire so I wouldn't have to sleep. And he said I would miss it. I probably would. But wow - I'd have so much more time!

How do I tell you I'm online? You have no idea who inadequate I am when it comes to online stuff. I lost your email. So I'm telling you I'm online! Hello there!

That bed SERIOUSLY looks rediculously comfortable. And I think the Good Lord made me read your blog right now because I SO need to go to bed on time tonight, and now I can't wait to snuggle up into my nice soft covers and dream (hopefully please) dreams. Morning comes oh too quickly!!!! Seriously, GOOD NIGHT!!!! *skips off to brush teeth and curl up in bed*

Slap me if you see me on facebook in five minutes, kay?
